aimed at Ohio teachers instructing students about insurance
topics. The Insurance
Basics for Teachers course is conducted
online, in the comfort of your home, school, library, or
anywhere you have internet access! Earn credit while you

OII Scholarships for Ohio Teachers
| Eligibility: |
Ohio Insurance Institute is offering a
limited number of scholarships to Ohio school teachers
(grades 7-12) completing and passing the Insurance Basics
for Teachers online course in 2012. |
| Amount: |
Scholarships are for $399 each. Scholarships cover full tuition reimbursement ($399) upon course completion. Scholarships are made available through a Griffith Insurance Education Foundation grant. Limit one scholarship per teacher. |
| Requirements: |
• The
grade 7-12 school teacher must be instructing an insurance
topic(s) in an Ohio classroom, or planning
to teach insurance
within the current school year.
• Upon
passing the course, teacher must develop a lesson plan
on an insurance topic that will be implemented in the
classroom. Lesson plans must be submitted to
OII via e-mail by specified dates which are provided with scholarship notice. Lesson plan must be submitted in MSWord, PDF or text format. |
| Details: |
• Scholarship applicant will be notified of acceptance/rejection
via e-mail within three weeks of application submission.
• Scholarship
recipient will receive $399 reimbursement within four
weeks of OII’s
receipt of the required lesson plan (deadline dates indicated in Requirements
above) and WSU’s notification that teacher has passed the course. |
