The following statistics reflect the impact of Ohio's tough DUI laws
since their inception (September 1, 1993-December 31, 1999):
- 453,656 impaired drivers received on-the-spot administrative driver
license suspensions ranging from 90 days to five years
- Immobilization orders for 80,326 vehicles were issued by the Ohio
Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) for periods ranging from 30 to 180 days
- Forfeiture orders for 3,265 vehicles were received by the BMV
