A 2005 survey, conducted by SAP of Germany and Bermuda-based Accenture, found that the majority of consumers file their claims through a call center (52%) or with an agent (37%). Yet 67% of consumers make use of the online channel to check the progress of their claims and more than 80% indicated they would file online.
